Kay Plat and Isabelle van Doorn visited Potager Farm and Crocus Labs in Berlin this week right before FRUIT LOGISTICA. This trip provided a fascinating insight into a vertical farm, the farm manager Bo Repplinger showcased the potager farm process and innovative solutions for managing their facilities.

The discussions at crocus labs facility highlighted varied opinions on the significance and practical application of light quality and recipes, especially concerning energy efficiency and the costs associated with updating lighting systems in both vertical farms and greenhouses. The expertise and capacity of the head grower was also noted as a crucial factor in the success achievable with LEDs.
